Additional Information

Dartan Hall, a Victorian period home situated 6 miles east of Armagh on the outskirts of the village of Killylea was built between 1850 & 1860 by the Cross family who were 17th century settlers from Lancashire, England.
A Victorian style property of two storeys over a basement (GEA: - 6975sq ft) with somewhat late Georgian architecture described as something of a mongrel of the two periods.
The property remained inhabited by the Cross family until 1906 to which it was then let to J.S Hamilton a son of the Dean of Armagh. The property was passed onto the Knox family to which it lay vacant for many years. The current owner acquired the property in 1987, since when it has been extensively restored.

From Armagh travel West towards Killylea for approximately 5.5 miles, turn left off Killylea Road onto Kennedies Road and the property is immediately on the left handside (BT60 4NQ)

Dartan Hall is accessed via a private avenue which leads to a sweeping approach on arrival at the house. Dartan offers fine views over the lawns, parkland and over the surrounding County Armagh countryside.

Purchased by the current owners in the late 1980's, the house was extensively renovated and modernised at that time. The property was re – wired and plumbed whilst the roof was re-lathed and slated. The house retains many of its original features externally and internally.
In terms of services, the house has a mains water supply and private drainage to a septic tank, oil-fired central heating with the option of the use of a wood-fueled boiler.

Offering unbound potential the basement currently is used for storage whilst also housing 2 boilers.
