Residential

Our residential department headed by Mr Garry Best has in recent years successfully adapted to significant market changes, and remains the market leader in the Newry and South Down area. Our Residential Agency staff are fully trained and well equipped to deal with all types of residential Property, from former Housing Executive homes to Period Residences.

Farms

We specialise in all aspects of Farm Sales and Lettings, covering a wide geographical area, including counties Armagh, Down & South Tyrone. In more recent years, our reputation for achieving some record land prices has resulted in both an extension of our geographical area to cover the entire southern half of the province and has also led to an increased number of instructions to sell the larger farm with country residence. As well as holding a database of prospective buyers for small and large farms, we are well placed to provide vendors with advice on how to maximise the sale proceeds from their increasingly valuable land assets.

New Homes

Being the largest local agent, our new houses division is well placed to advise builders and to monitor market development on an on-going basis. Many local and national developers have recognised this fact and we now exist as clients.

The Best Auction Department has been particularly busy in recent years catering for all types of plants & machinery auctions, liquidation sales & clearance sales. We regularly conduct disposal auctions on behalf of a variety of clients, including Statutory Authorities.

Property Management

Headed by Ciara Aiken, Chartered Surveyor, our Property Management Department that is now well established, offers computerised property management and a quality service to landlords. Properties are managed throughout the Country and in London. Additionally, we can provide a full landlord & tenant service to include re-letting, lease renewals, rent review, portfolio valuations, etc.

Rating

In light of the ongoing statutory revaluations, the attention of property owners has been focused on the current level of rating expenditure. We offer a full rating service and have a Chartered Surveyor on staff that is an Associate of the Institute of Revenues Rating & Valuation. No up-front charge is made for the handling of Rating Appeals apart from an initial inspection fee.

Valuations

Our Valuation Department can provide valuations on virtually all types of Property for a wide variety of purposes, including Proposed Funding, Probate Purposes, Taxation Purposes, and Matrimonial Disputes and in relation to potential Property Acquisitions. Having five fully qualified chartered surveyors our strength is in the diversity of expertise available in-house.

Compulsory Purchase & Loss Assessing

This remains an important sector within our role as Chartered Surveyors & Property Consultants. Recently we have negotiated most of the Compensation Claims in relation to the Newry By-Pass in addition to compensation for many smaller Road Schemes, Water Service Schemes, Way leave, etc. Loss assessment reports can be prepared for all categories of loss, including fire damage, water damage & all other types of loss situations.
