Today (2nd October) over 180 Newry businesses attended the 5th annual BEST BUSINESS Series to hear from Leadership Expert and international speaker Marcus Child.

Marcus is an award-winning speaker who has had a powerful impact on the people and the performance of many well-known businesses during the past 23 years.

He speaks in workshops and conferences and has helped an astonishing number of CEOs, MDs, boards, business teams, sportspeople, politicians, teenagers and people living with health challenges realise bold and extraordinary goals.

Garry Best, MD of Best Property Services said: “We’re delighted to bring Marcus to Newry today so he can share his wealth of knowledge on developing a high performing business. Marcus is a VISTAGE Speaker and is an internationally known expert in the field of leadership. He has worked with M&S, World Pay, HSBC among others, as well as individuals and well-known sports stars and we’re thrilled to add our network of Newry businesses to that list now too.”

In the interactive lunchtime session - hosted by the Canal Court Hotel, Newry - Marcus spoke to local business leaders about harnessing ‘Personal Power’.

“Much of my work is about aligning leaders with a bold ambition and enabling an organisation that can realise it. The intention should be to delight customers. That’s more easily done when you have created a great place to work, with a highly engaged team. When you get this right, commercial success tends to follow.

“I want to inspire confidence, wholeheartedness and courage...and support organisations embrace change positively and successfully.

“I have seen some astonishing success with companies who have gone all out to drive a high-performing culture. It’s wonderful to be invited to Newry by Best Property Services to share this message.

“Today through our session, I hope to encourage resourcefulness in individuals, positivity between colleagues and trust between organisations and their customers.

“I believe work presents an opportunity for self-improvement as well as commercial success. If leaders can enable new habits this benefits individuals and the business long after the project or programme ends,” Marcus concludes.
